Administrative Services Assistant 3
(Working title: Logistics Coordinator)

The TN Department of General Services is seeking to hire an Administrative Services Assistant 3 that will serve in the capacity of Logistics Coordinator for the Communication, Publications, and Distribution Division. Serving in various locations, this position will monitor, assess, and make recommendations on inventory levels and efficient location, space utilization, internal customer fulfillment, and transportation operations. Further the candidate will assist in the design and implementation of a comprehensive logistical support solution for a multi-operational merge of the departments postal, printing, and distribution services, and coordinate support services to sustain the solution once implemented.

Minimum Qualifications for the Classification:
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree AND experience equivalent to three years of increasingly responsible full-time professional staff administrative experience.

Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub professional, paraprofessional, or professional experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.

Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional graduate coursework in public administration, business administration, or other acceptable field may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years.

Additional Competencies:
Strong mathematical

Strong analytical skills

Inventory management experience is preferred; logistics operations experience is a bonus as well.

Experience handling restricted and/or controlled products

Logistics experience

Critical thinking skills, resiliency, and innovative solutions development

Robust computer skills, advanced in the use of Excel, Access, and other similar
Microsoft tools
